Oh, great saltshakers of joy and sorrow

Mateys, we are now half way through high school! Juniors are we. No longer underclassmen. Wow. (Typing up choppy sentences is fun. )Time flies, whether you're having fun or not.

----Wait I'll update later...must watch the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony live *runs off*

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, back.  So it's the first day of summer vacation and I have nothing to do. Off to LA/San Marino in a day for 8 weeks of SAT prep...Mon-Fri.. (gag) and hopefully some driver's ed. And I'll get to see all my lovely and unlovely relatives again...wheee. 60 days of blue skies in Cali.

Last day of school yesterday......farewell to all of the people who are leaving ISB...I'll miss you and good luck wherever you're going!

Aw I can't be bothered to update about anything else...Qing Dao China Links was pretty fun...I'll post pics later when I'm in the mood :)..if i'm in in the mood...I have a hunch I'll kill a lot of time on this old thing anyway when I'm bored over the summer.

Have fun kids, and remember, don't stick peas in your belly buttons!

!!!

So the program my dad installed on this comp that allows me to break through "The Great Firewall of China" is battling against Norton and messing up the comp. Reading about Free Tibet is great and all... but this is getting somewhat annoying.

Okay, have a great day.:)

New Faces

yangshuotrip066.jpg

If you ever happen to go bamboo rafting in Yangshuo  in the morning, and need some help waking up after being forced by your dad to start off really early before other tourists start crowding up the sites....THEN THIS IS YOUR WAKE UP CALL.

Meet Mr. Chen

English translation of what he said : "My-name-is-chen-did-you-know-the-chen-family-is-huge-we-take-up-nearly-half-the-population-or-something-so-we-could-actually-be-related-what's-your-last-name?-are-you-two-twins?-we-don't-have-twins-in-our-close-family-but-i-remember-that-this-woman-in-our-village-once-had-octuplets--but-they-all-died-and-this-is-my-son-his-last-name-is-also-chen-haha-and-has-been-in-this-family-business-for-a-long-time-but-not-as-long-as-i-have-been-i've-been-rafting-for-years-so-don't-worry-i'm-very-experienced-haha--i'm-experienced-i'm-experienced-haha-haha-i-won't-flip-the-raft-haha-ha-trust-me-i-won't-haha."

:D. Thank God it wasn't all in one long sentence. It was in two.

In other news.

Our new piano teacher is pretty terrible at sight reading.  In C Major, too.

Gorillas make nests.

I still haven't finished going around school with the " How much allowance do ISB HS students get a week?" poll for THE BREAK.  Asked over 100 students so far (thanks Alison!) but hardly any of them are juniors and seniors.

Bucky was voted off.

Oranges are orange.

I need to get my mind off school and grades.

I need to go do homework now. And maybe watch Sky High or Pride and Prejudice again. :D.
